| I loved the pig and the plants. |
I love this place. After spending time in places like Home Depot, Lowes and Houston Garden Center, The Arbor Gate is THE freshest breath of fresh air. I was looking for some specific plants for my new Container Garden and they popped up on my internet search and I'm so glad they did. I'll never buy plants at any of those places again. Here is why; if you have a plant in mind, they will have it, it's going to be a healthy plant and usually will grow in our climate and if you have questions there will be someone within a few feet of you that can tell you all about it. Yes, you heard me right, not only can you easily find someone to help you but when you do, they actually know what they are talking about.
 |
| How cute are these birdhouses, I wanted to buy them all. |
 |
| Every time I visit, the beds have something new to look at. |
 |
| This little garden definitely makes me dream... |
Here is the next reason I love this place, it's a fun excursion! The people are friendly and they invite artists who create interesting and beautiful art to display their stuff. They build small garden beds that give you ideas about displaying the art and plants. Even better, when you see something you like it has a price on it and if it's a plant, there is a sign telling you what it is.

| These Birdhouses are awesome |

| I loved the pretty blue of these pieces. |
Now here is what I really love about The Arbor Gate... They have AWESOME
classes. They bring in guest teachers and each one of them are
experts in their field. I have been to four of their classes and
you can sign up online. They will call you the day before to remind you
of the class. I have been to classes so far on
Ornamental Climbers, Edimentals,
Southern Gardens and
Evergreen Herbs. Each one was
great and I learned so much. More than that, the teachers are glad to
spend all the time you need answering questions. Also, you can make
friends with the other gardening fans that came to the same class as
you. The classes are rain or shine and take place in two of their
really cool pavilions. If you don't have time for the classes they have cool podcasts every week.
 |
| I was so busy looking at this awesome pavilion, I had to remind myself to pay attention to the class. Check out the hanging brass leaves at the top! What beautiful workmanship. |
Lastly, they have their operation streamlined to make things easy for you. While you shop around, they have plenty of little red wagons to drag around with you and yes, you can put a child in there and there is so much to look at, they would love it. They are kid friendly and know those kids are their future customers. After you find what you want, you roll up to the main office and they have guys there that will give you a ticket that you just take inside where you can buy all kinds of organic products and cool art before you pay for your plants. Then you just get your car and they load it all up for you. Did I say, I like this place!
 |
| They have all kinds of trinkets and clocks and art. |
 |
| Several of the staff members have the hat on the top and I am putting it on my wish list! |
 |
| This stuff is awesome, I learned about it in one of the classes |
 |
| Another lesson from the classes and we put it on our lawn as well as the container garden. |
