New Home, New Garden - next steps

Now that we are in Houston, I wanted a garden. I looked on Pintrest for some ideas for Container Gardening and decided that is what I want to do.  There was one picture from a chef who was using long livestock tanks and I loved that. Here is the link for it.  http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/gardens/souths-best-gardens/edible-container-garden.    The livestock tanks for the 6'x2'x2' are about $240.  There were some smaller ones but they were still about $150.00.  Charles found some small round tanks for $20 each and that is what I decided to go with.

This is a new yard for me so I needed to do some research about the sun and the best place for the garden with the most sun.  This was morning sun.. before 11:00 am.

The final decision was to put it at the side of the house because it actually gets the longest full sun exposure. I did discover that we needed to move the containers down twards the edge of the house.

What I finally did to keep the pictures organized is to email them to myself each time I went out to take more pictures with the time of day in the subject line.  This works GREAT......
